Have you ever met a mungry?
Well, if you haven’t it won’t be long before you do.
There were no furry, soft, muscular, big jowled, smiley faced creatures that liked to do jumping-jacks with a banana on their nose, ever sighted or known of, or so we thought.
Until one day some time ago when a vision appeared of big feet and bulging biceps, that for some reason reminded me of ripe honeydews. I thought it was just a lack of sleep that laid this image before me until it tossed an apple to me that bounced off of my unsuspecting nose. Then I knew that there was something more to this than my imagination. This creature introduced himself to me as “The Healthy Hero for Children”.
“But what are you?”, I exclaimed. “I’m a Mungry”, was his simple answer. “A HUNGRY Mungry to be exact”, he fitted in. “Haven’t you ever met a Mungry?” he asked. And he began his story:
“A Mungry is always Hungry Hungry Hungry. So, I’m The Hungry Mungry”. From there he continued to tell me of all of the good foods a Mungry eats and how a Mungry stays fit with “Mungrycises” every day. “Are you getting all of this down?”, he asked. It was obvious that he had the intention of writing a book for children. Why he picked me, I don’t know. He said because he was, up to then, humbly renting out space in my head, and he apologized for not paying his share in rent. I guess that was what the apple in the nose was for. Anyway, we talked for quite some time about the plans he had for teaching children to be Healthy Heroes through nutrition and fitness. I graciously accepted his invitation to take on this monstrous and momentous project. So, he put me on a quest to help him Build Healthy Heroes to help him spread his message of
“Eating Smart and Growing Strong”.
